What was the worst thing that happened to you in 2009? The best?
The best was when I relied on prayers much and saw the good effects they have in our lives....like when I was confined this year and got well immediately....and had an accomplishment at home....The worst was when I did not do what I really wanted to do especially if it's for the good of others, just to play it safe....although I'd like to believe that saying "no" is the best solution to that certain problem at that particular time....although I still feel guilty when I wasn't able to give my support to other people....
Today is the Feast of the Holy Family for Catholics but it could be for all families in the whole world as well....We make God as the center of our lives and Mama Mary, Joseph, and Jesus as our Holy Family....We are trying hard to follow the Holy Family in terms of having loving, generous, supportive members in our own families....How can we be a true family?
The key is we the children must never, never disrespect our parents, no matter what....I see how children nowadays treat their parents inappropriately....Most of our shows on TV and in movies show children as rebels,corrupt, disobedient while parents are shown as unfit as well to handle their kids....Remember some songs of Eminem....a son blaming his parents for his misery....and so many other songs telling us how we hated our own immediate families.....how come we never asked ourselves, what can I do to my family instead of blaming parents or your siblings for all your failures....What have you done as member in a family to save it?.... Have I been a good child myself.....If your parents failed to show love within your family, you have to make a difference instead....Show them how much you care for them by being a good daughter or a son.....to bring out the best in your family......You may never know you'll be the miracle that your parents are looking for....
Another big family that we should consider is "us" the whole community....including neighbors, friends, relatives, co workers etc....We must also include in our family the environment itself (animals and plants) that we should love, protect, and respect as well....
Remember my friends....."We are all part of God's family"...
Sa gitna ng mga pagdiriwang sa araw na ito, marami din namang mga kaganapan na di kanais- nais ang ating nasasaksihan... Hindi naman natin ito maiiwasan. Hindi perpekto ang mundo.... Ngayon na lang, naririnig ko ang mga "kasayahan" na kung saan halos araw- araw nang nagaganap... Hindi lang sa tuwing sumasapit ang araw na ito. Inuman, sayawan, minsan wala ng kabuluhan ang ginagawa sa isang komunidad. Nakikita ko kung paano bumababa ang moralidad ng mga kabataan kahit mga katandaan.... Nakalulungkot pero ito ang tunay na mga nangyayari. Daig pa ang giyera o ano pa mang kaguluhan kapag ang dignidad na ng isang tao ang nakataya... Sana naman katukin tayo ng ating mga konsyensiya... Sana naman panatilihin pa rin natin ang kagandahan ng ating kultura, ang pagiging malapit na tunay sa ating Maylikha.... Sana naman ay huwag nating kakalimutan na tayo'y may dignidad na dapat nating pangalagaan... Itayo natin at huwag hayaang lumubog ang kulturang Pinoy.

First day in the morning I visited a small chapel and prayed...The people who go there mostly are those who are poor and sick yet full of hope....Some would even walk through kneeling towards the altar...By just being there somehow gave me a sense of peace....I am with people whom God loves and care about...I was just there and meditated for an hour....I prayed for my family, for the people who were there, for my friends, relatives, for children everywhere who were excited for Christmas....I thank God for Christmas....Then I hurriedly went back home so that I can share some gifts for the kids celebrating Christmas today...I guess the kids were the ones who made us happy by sharing blessings to them which were not really ours....the blessings came from the One up there^^
